ROAD TO RIO M: Mexico clinched the last ticket for the Olympics (VIDEO)

by WoV

Huge celebration in Mexico City, despite a defeat! Tunisia prevailed over Mexico 3-2 (23-25, 25-23, 25-23, 19-25, 20-18) in the final round of the Men’s World Olympic Qualification Tournament, but the home team captured the last spot available for the Olympic Games 2016.

It was probably the sweetest ever defeat for Mexico. They needed 1 point to definitely secure the top spot in the group and to therefore win the ticket for Rio… That is exactly what they did.

Check out huge celebration in the gym when Mexico won the 4th set against Tunisia and clinched their place at the Olympics.

Final standings: Mexico 2-1 (7 points), Chile 2-1 (6 points), Tunisia 2-1 (5 points), Algeria 0-3 (0 points).
