As we wrote and announced back in April, Croatian opposite Petar Đirlić is swapping the Milano jersey for that of Cucine Lube Civitanova, which has now been officially confirmed by the club.
Cucine Lube Civitanova has officially signed Croatian volleyball star Petar Đirlić for the 2024/25 season. Đirlić, currently the captain of the Croatian national team, is leading his team in the CEV Golden League with an undefeated record and aiming for victory in the upcoming Final Four in Osijek.
Đirlić, a 205 cm tall opposite hitter born in Split in 1997, brings a wealth of experience from his time in SuperLega and various European clubs. He previously played for Allianz Milano, where an ankle injury affected his performance early in the season. Now he is set to form a formidable duo with Adis Lagumdzija at Lube Civitanova.
The club’s general manager, Beppe Cormio, praised Đirlić’s scoring ability and team spirit, expressing confidence in the new signing’s contribution to the team’s success. Đirlić himself is excited to join the prestigious club and looks forward to working with coach Giampaolo Medei and his new teammates.
