VakıfBank has announced the return of American middle blocker Chiaka Ogbogu and the addition of Czech opposite hitter Gabriela Orvosova as part of its 2025 season roster updates.
Ogbogu, 30, rejoins the Istanbul-based club following a one-year absence during which she competed in the U.S. LOVB—earning “Middle Blocker of the Year” honors with Austin—and briefly played in Puerto Rico. Her previous stint at VakıfBank saw her contribute to seven titles across international and domestic competitions, including the FIVB Club World Championship and CEV Champions League.
Meanwhile, 24-year-old Orvosova arrives from Italy’s Roma Volley. The Czech international brings valuable experience from his time with Olomouc, Bielsko-Biała, Developres Rzeszów, and Roma.
