Karla Antunović, one of Croatia’s brightest volleyball rising stars, is making a big move to Italy’s top volleyball league. The 22-year-old setter has signed with Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri ’76, stepping into the spotlight of Serie A1 after a championship-winning season in Germany with SSC Palmberg Schwerin.
Originally from Zagreb, Antunović carved her path through HAOK Mladost Zagreb—winning two national titles and two cups. Her bold move to the German Bundesliga paid off quickly, culminating in a title win during her debut season.
“What drew me to Chieri was their vision, their professionalism, and how genuinely the coaches believed in me,” Karla explained. “It’s not just about volleyball—it’s about being part of a project where I can grow on and off the court.”
Currently training with the Croatian national team for the Golden League and European Championship qualifiers, Karla brings passion to every play.
“I give everything in every session. My focus is on teamwork, communication, and staying calm when it matters most,” she shared.
