Croatian middle blocker Božana Butigan is the latest big name to join Megabox Ondulati del Savio Vallefoglia. The 23-year-old arrives after a standout season with Il Bisonte Firenze, where she ranked third in the league for blocks.
Butigan is no stranger to Italian volleyball. After four years with HAOK Mladost Zagreb, she moved to Italy with Imoco Conegliano—winning a Scudetto, Coppa Italia, two Super Cups, and a Champions League. She also spent time with Volley Bergamo before her campaign in Florence.
Now, she’s ready for her next challenge:
“Vallefoglia is growing fast and gaining respect every year. I’m here to give my all—my energy, my spirit, and my smile. I can’t wait to start.”
Club director Alessio Simone says she’s exactly what they needed:
“She’s young, experienced, and one of the best blockers around. On and off the court, she’s a perfect fit.”
A powerful signing for Vallefoglia—and a new chapter for one of Croatia’s rising stars.
