Modena Volley announced the appointment of Lorenzo Tubertini as head coach for the 2026/27 SuperLega season. The Italian club also confirmed Australian libero Luke Perry will remain with the team for another year.

Born in Modena, Tubertini returns after gaining experience in Italy and abroad, including stints in France and Austria. During his time with Hypo Tirol Innsbruck, he won the Austrian League, Austrian Cup and Austrian Super Cup, while guiding the club back into the Champions League qualification pathway.
Modena also confirmed the renewal of libero Luke Perry after a strong first season in SuperLega. The 30-year-old Australian established himself as one of the league’s top defensive players and will continue to provide leadership and experience to the squad.
“Luke brought balance, experience and a winning mentality from day one,” sporting director Alberto Casadei said. “We are very happy to continue this journey together.”
Perry has previously played in Finland, Germany, France and Poland, winning domestic titles in both Germany and Poland during his career.
