PGE Projekt Warszawa confirmed the appointment of Roberto Piazza as the new head coach, with the Italian signing a contract through the next four seasons.
Club president and sporting director Piotr Gacek said the appointment was the result of long-term discussions between the two parties and forms part of the organization’s long-range plans.
“Roberto was a coach we had been interested in for several years. We remained in contact and waited for the right moment to reach an agreement,” Gacek said.
Piazza said he was pleased to return to Poland and begin work with the Warsaw-based club.
“I am very excited to come back to Poland and take on this new challenge with PGE Projekt Warszawa. The next four years will require a lot of hard work, and I look forward to what we can achieve together,” Piazza said.
