French volleyball star Ervin Ngapeth will play the second half of the season with Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahçe.
French volleyball star and two-time Olympic champion Ervin Ngapeth has signed an 18-month contract with Turkish club Fenerbahçe, reportedly worth over €1 million, according to Turkish media.
Ngapeth, currently playing for Poitiers in France, will join Fenerbahçe in January after a farewell match scheduled for December 27. Poitiers occupies third place in the French league, while Fenerbahçe sits eighth in the Turkish league.
The Istanbul-based club hopes Ngapeth’s arrival will reverse their poor results, coinciding with the appointment of Serbian coach Slobodan Kovač. Kovač and Ngapeth previously collaborated successfully at Halkbank, securing both the Turkish league and cup titles in the 2023/24 season.
