She was the top scorer of the game and deserved to be recognized as the MVP of the tournament. The Serbian opposite ended the game with 23 points, proving once again that she is probably the best player at this position at the moment.
This is her second straight MVP award at EuroVolley but the third in a row if we count the World Championship last year when she was also rewarded MVP.
Unlike the previous EuroVolley, this tournament has no DREAM TEAM, only the MVP award. We don’t know the reason of that decision, but we assume that they are making always “wrong decisions” and that might be why they have decided to avoid choosing the best team of the tournament.
