Turkey took a little revenge on the USA for losing the last year’s final in their first VNL encounter since that epic match in which the USA came twice from behind in sets (from 0-1 and 1-2).

Turkey set a new national team record for the longest winning streak in a world-level major tournament (6) to stay at the top of the charts with a 9-1 record. The United States are fifth with a 7-3 record.

Ebrar Karakurt tallied 20 points for the winning side, while Jordan Thompson made 10 for the USA as the only double-digit player in her team.
