VNL 2019 W: Egonu faints at the end of match against Korea

Paola Egonu, the star player of Italy national team fainted at the end of the 2019 FIVB Women’s Volleyball Nations League encounter against South Korea, yesterday. Luckily, she only suffered from a temporary weakness.

At the end of the match against South Korea in the 2019 VNL, Italy national team opposite hitter Egonu fainted and was taken to the hospital. There, the examinations showed that it was nothing serious as she suffered from a sudden fall in blood pressure. The best scorer of the match with returned to the hotel where she spent the night.

Italy national team issued an official note in regard to this, saying that as a precautionary measure, Egonu will not play the last match of Week 4 against Russia, tonight at 20:00 C.E.T.
