Looking at the official and unofficial transfers, plus expected renewals, there will be as many as eight Argentine players in the 2020/21 French top division, by which it will become an international club volleyball competition with the most Argentinians in the next season, surpassing Italian league.
Certainly the most prominent of these names are the setter Nicolás Uriarte and the libero Alexis González, both playing in Bolívar Voley last season. The first is one step away from signing with Narbonne where he’ll be welcomed by the outside hitter Lisandro Zanotti, while the latter will likely go to Montpellier and join outside hitter Nicolás Méndez.
Tourcoing already announced signing the setter Matías Sánchez. The trio of liberos will renew their contracts with French clubs: Franco Massimino with Chaumont, Facundo Santucci with Rennes, and Sebastián Closter with Toulouse.
