Italy National Team will be deprived of help from Filippo Lanza in the eighth-finals of the 2019 CEV European Men’s Volleyball Championship.

The Italian Volleyball Federation (Fipav) informed that the player of its Men’s National Team, Filippo Lanza, suffered an injury against France in the last round of the pool stage which will sideline him from, at least, one match.

The MRI showed that the outside hitter, backup to Juantorena and Antonov, suffered a minor injury of the psoas muscle. This means that Lanza will miss out the match against Turkey in the eighth-finals of EuroVolley, on Sunday, September 22.
