The 2020 Italian women’s volleyball Super Cup will be held at the iconic venue in the country’s capital of Rome.

The iconic multi-purpose sports complex in Rome, Foro Italico, will host the next edition of the country’s women’s Super Cup, media in Italy reported.

The formula is still to be defined but unofficially, only one match will be played – the final game. The Super Cup will take place just before the traditional tennis tournament, Italian Open (Internazionali BNL d’Italia), which is scheduled for September 20-27.

Foro Italico was the host of both indoor and beach volley tournaments in the previous few years among which the 2018 FIVB Men’s World Championship stands out as the most important, in addition to FIVB Volleyball Nations League matches. The capacity of the venue is close to 11,000 seats.
