Once the 2020/21 Italian Women’s Lega Pallavolo Femminile Serie A, in which they won the silver medal, is over, Novara turned the new page and started thinking about the near future.
For the next season, they have decided to put an emphasis on continuity. Thus, after the renewal of the contracts of Caterina Bosetti, American Haleigh Washington, Stefania Sansonna, and Ilaria Battistoni, which they completed during last playoffs, Novara did the same with 5 more players. These are Cristina Chirichella (will play the 8th year in the Novara jersey), Sara Bonifacio (6th year), American Micha Hancock (3rd season in Novara), Belgian Britt Herbots, and Dutch Nika Daalderop (both will play 2nd year).
The first new face in the club for 2021/22 is that of Ebrar Karakurt. The young star (a 21-years-old opposite hitter) of the Turkish volleyball, who grew up in VakıfBank, came from Türk Hava Yolları. She is a regular member of her country’s national team in whose jersey she won the gold medal in the World Championship in the U23 category, in 2017. Ebrar tied herself to Novara until 2023.

Really??? Polish Smarkez is much better than this player, very bad decision!!! This player should have continued to play in weak Turkish league, she cannot compete in such a strong league, go back to your weak home league!!
Re: @BRASILvolleygirl
Weak Turkish leaque? The most ridiculous comment ever made on Worldofvolley!
CEV Champions League 2021: Vakifbank (TUR) – Finalist
CEV Cup 2021: Galatasaray (TUR) – Runner up
CEV Challenge Cup 2021: Sistem9 Yesilyurt (TUR) – Winner
dude, in the last decade, in every club competition final, european or worldwide, u
can see one turkish club, but unfortunately this season is a nightmare for them.on the contrary to their european rivals, turkish clubs are located in big cities, the majority in istanbul where controlling covid is very difficult. numerious covid cases prevent the continuity in these clubs and drop their performances dramatically.
even in the wake of superfinals, vakifbank has 10 covid cases, while all players and staff in imoco are safe and sound. hope this pandemic will be over soon.
