Current champions of the South Korean Men’s Volleyball Championship, Cheonan Hyundai Capital Skywalkers, changed a foreign player after nine games in the new season.

The V-League champions Skywalkers will no longer count on Cuban outside hitter Yosvany Hernández. He injured his ankle one week upon the start of the 2019/20 season and did not return to the court afterward. The team from Cheonan did not play well without him, suffering four defeats in nine games.

The Skywalkers’ management decided to react and hired Ugandan sensation Daudi Okello, who has been standing out in the Turkish league since the beginning of the season, leading Spor Toto to the surprising No.1 in the charts of the 2019/20 AXA Sigorta Efeler Ligi regular season. The 24-year-old opposite hitter is the top-scorer in points per set (6.29) and third-best scorer overall (107 points).
