After the cancellation of the 2019/20 Brazilian Championship due to the coronavirus, the American player Nicole Fawcett decided to end her professional career.

The 33-year-old opposite hitter spent the last three seasons in Dentil/Praia Clube. She was one of the protagonists in the first-ever Superliga title of the club from Uberlândia – in the 2017/18 season.

In addition to the two titles with the United States National Team (2014 FIVB World Championship and 2015 Pan American games), Fawcett has numerous individual awards, such as the MVP of the 2015 NORCECA Championship and the 2014/15 South Korean Championship.
