Recently, the Italian media speculated that the MVP of the last FIVB World Championship, Kurek, will play the next season in China. However, the manager of the athlete, Jakub Michalak, ruled out such a possibility in an interview with Przegląd Sportowy.
“Bartek definitely won’t play in China. That’s nonsense. Kurek already knows in which club he’ll play next season but for obvious reasons, I can’t disclose neither the country nor the name of the team,“ the agent said.
However, the opposite hitter, who spent the last season in Italy’s Vero Volley Monza is to play in Asia. So the question arises: in Japan or in South Korea? These two countries are the only two possible destinations of Kurek because only clubs from them have big enough budgets to engage players of such a reputation.
“I think it’s not yet the time to announce it. The contract has been signed for some time so, at least, in regard to this I can have a calm head now,“ Kurek stated in an interview for Polsat Sport.
