Trefl beat Warszawa by a 3-1 (23-25, 25-23, 25-17, 27-25) in the match of the sixth round – postponed earlier – of the 2020/21 PlusLiga regular season.

According to the schedule, the team from the Polish capital was to play a match against Stal Nysa, but their rivals had to go to the quarantine. Due to the fact that both Warszawa and Trefl were free today, the match initially set for October 10 was held today. Warszawa are still struggling with the unavailability of some of the key players – Piotr Nowakowski and Artur Szalpuk are in the isolation.

On the other hand, Trefl have finally completed the roster – Mariusz Wlazły and German Moritz Reichert returned to training and playing after beating coronavirus infections. As a matter of fact, the former led the Gdańsk side, who broke their three-game losing streak, in scoring today with 19 points.
