Something was missing to the Aussies to make a better result in this game. They were even until the very end of the first and second set, however, the experienced team of Russia simply knew what to do to win the sets.

In the third set, Russia got into the rhythm, destroying all of the weapons of the Aussies and clinched the first victory in this competition.

The top scorer of the game was Maxim Mikhailov with 17 points, while Dmitry Muserskiy added 13! Paul Carrol had 13 on the other side.
