The Slovenian men's volleyball national team has played for the first time at the World Championship!

Fortunately for their fans, the debut was successful.

The first set was some kind of warning for the Slovenian team. The Dominican Republic have managed to take the first set and to shock Slobodan Kovac’s side.

However, losing the first set had a huge impact on Slovenia. The unleashed beast started playing at a much higher level, destroying the rival in other three sets.

Tine Urnat was the best scorer with 18 points, while Mitja Gasparini added 17 and Klemen Cebulj 12. Two more players in Slovenia had double digits Alen Pajenk and Jan Kozamernik.
