Samanta-Fabris
Ever since legendary opposite hitter Ekaterina Gamova retired in 2016, Dinamo Kazan had problems to find a worthy replacement for her. Now they hope their new acquisition, Croatian Samanta Fabris, will fill this gap properly. A 27-year-old player, the member of the national team of her home country, is coming from Imoco Volley Conegliano after winning the two Italian championship titles (2018 and 2019) and one Italian Super Cup (2018), being named MVP in the latter tournament.
After losing the bronze medal in the Russian Superliga last season to Uralochka-NTMK Sverdlovsk region, Dinamo Kazan hired their setter Tatyana Romanova and libero Anna Podkopaeva, earlier.
The two club legends, both liberos, decided to end their careers: a 41-year-old Elena Ezhova, the 2016 Rio Olympics participant, after spending eight years in total with Dinamo Kazan, and a 32-year-old Ekaterina Ulanova after spending nine straight years with the team from Tatarstan.
As for the departures, for now, the quartet parted ways with Dinamo Kazan: the opposite hitters Darya Malygina (Sakhalin Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) and Czech Soňa Mikysková, setter Elena Novik (Sakhalin Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk), and outside hitter Aleksandra Pasynkova.
