RUS W: Transfer bomb! Kosheleva continues season in Lokomotiv

The Russian Women’s Volleyball Championship runners-up Lokomotiv have signed a contract with the country’s superstar Tatyana Kosheleva!

The Russia National Team player, world and European champion, Tatyana Kosheleva is the new member of the Superliga Parimatch vice-champions Lokomotiv. The team from Kaliningrad took advantage of an early ending of the season in China and signed the country’s and also the world’s superstar. Kosheleva finished 4th with Guangdong in the 2019/20 Chinese Championship.

The 31-year-old outside hitter has been a member of the “Zbornaya“ since 2007 and until today, she won the FIVB World Championship in 2010 (named Best Attacker of the tournament) and the CEV European Championship in 2013 and 2015, being named MVP on both occasions. Kosheleva was a 2-time Olympian (2012 and 2016). On a club level, she was the CEV Cup winner twice, Russian champion 3 times, and Russian Cup winner 5 times.

Lokomotiv also announced sending a prospect outside hitter Valeriya Shevchuk on a loan in Enisey.

I am sorry but Kosheleva is not Kosheleva anymore. She lost her ryhthm ages ago, thus, her transfer does not have an importance at all.
