Ural stunned Zenit-Kazan on Day 6 of the 2020/21 Russian men’s volleyball Cup.

 

Ural are doing surprisingly well in the 2020/21 Kubok Rossii for men.

The Ufa side defeated Zone 3 hosts Zenit-Kazan on Day 6: 3-1 (29-27, 19-25, 25-19, 31-29). The Pole Maciej Muzaj led Ural with 22 points. Dmitriy Kolenkovskiy made 83 % attack. The Frenchman Earvin Ngapeth top-scored for Zenit with 18 points, while Fedor Voronkov made 73 % reception (58 % Excellent). With this win, Ural settled at the top of the Zone 4 with 4-1 and 12 points.

Kuzbass are unstoppable. Thanks to 19 points from Italian Ivan Zaytsev, the Kemerovo club downed Gazprom-Yugra in straight sets in Zone 1 in Novosibirsk and reached 6-0 and 17 points.
