Azeryol
According to apasport.az, the new volleyball season in Azerbaijan will start on November 8, while the women’s national championship will have only FOUR participants!
The 4 teams that will begin the 2016/17 season are – Azeryol (reigning champions), Telecom, Azerrail and Lokomotiv, while there is a chance that Georgian team Tbilisi will join the league later during the season (!?).
Also, Lokomotiv will apparently only have that name, but that will not be the same club from the previous season that got into serious financial debts. Allegedly, the Azerbaijani U18 team will play under the name of Lokomotiv in the following season.
