Trentino-vs-Verona
After two tie-breaks in the first two games, a decisive Game 3 of the 2017/18 SuperLega quarterfinals between No.4 Diatec Trentino and No.5 Calzedonia Verona was a one-way street for the favorites, 3-0 (25-20, 25-22, 25-15).
The Serbian Uroš Kovačević topped Trentino with 18 points (4 aces, 2 kill blocks). The Canadian Stephen Maar scored 15 points for Verona.
Thus, Trentino became the third team to advance to the best-of-five semifinals after No.2 Cucine Lube Civitanova and No.3 Azimut Modena. The only unresolved quarterfinal series is between No.1 Sir Safety Conad Perugia and No.8 Bunge Ravenna (1-1), who will play their decisive game tomorrow, on March 25.
