Madison Kingdon Rishel poured in 57 points in a 3-2 win of her club Hwaseong Industrial Bank Korea Altos against Suwon Hyundai Engineering & Construction Hillstate in the Korean Women’s Volleyball Championship V-League!

By making a display like this, an American outside hitter tied the second-best performance in the world regarding a number of points scored in a single game (the Bulgarian Elitsa Vasileva did the same playing for Incheon Heungkuk Life Insurance Pink Spiders in 2014). Kingdon Rishel also scored more than a half of all points of her team today (57 of 113)!

Recall that Azerbaijani Polina Rahimova holds the world record which she set two years ago.

Kingdon Rishel’s compatriot Elizabeth Campbell made 26 points for Hyundai, while Campbell‘s teammate Hwang Youn-Joo reached the magical number of 5,000 points in V-League, which she started to collect in 2005.

In the Men’s tournament, Uijeongbu KB Insurance Stars ended their 3-game losing streak as they beat the last-placed Ansan OK Savings Bank Rush and Cash by a 3-2 with 30 points from the Portuguese outside hitter Alexandre Ferreira. Song Myung-Geun notched 24 for Rush & Cash.
