The 2017 CEV European Championship winner Ana Bjelica is no longer a free agent as she signed the deal with the Serbian silver medalists Crvena zvezda Belgrade, a club with whom she won four consecutive national titles (2010 – 2013) before going to play abroad. As the player confirmed for WorldofVolley, she penned a so-called open contract, which means she will have the permission to leave the club in case of getting a better offer.
Bjelica gained international experience in Chemik Police (Poland) and Salihli Belediyesi (Turkey). Her next destination was Vôlei Nestlé, in the 2016/17 season. But, after parting ways with the Brazilian runners-up this summer, Bjelica remained without a club. At one point, she was close to signing with Shanghai from China.
