Bulgarian sportal.bg published that the players led by coach Nayden Naydenov virtually play without money, as they did not take salaries for several months! Also, Marek did not pay the bonus to the entire team for a title won in 2014, which was the third in a row for this club.

Despite the enormous financial problems, Bulgarian title holder continues its participation in the strongest competition in Europe – Champions League.

On Thursday, Marek will host Polish KS Jastrzębski Wegiel and in its last match of the group stage, on January 27 it will visit the Russian Lokomotiv Novosibirsk.

Marek has no chance to go to the next phase from Pool B, as it is currently on the last place in the standings with one win, three losses and only two points on its account.
