Bociek
Last season, he was playing the most important battle in his life – battle against cancer! And he won! Tonight, he returned to the court in style! He was not the top scorer but he saved his team against Cerrad Czarni Radom!
Home team had 2-1 lead in sets and 11-8 lead in the fourth set. In that moment, De Giorgi made two substitutions: Bociek in, Deroo out and Buszek in Konarski out! Cerrad have managed to increase the lead, 13:8!
We have to admit, home side were very close to the win. Then, Bociek scored his first point after several months of break from volleyball. Afterwards, Zaksa were trailing by one (17:16)!
Bociek grabbed the ball and went to the service line! ACE (17:17). ACE AGAIN (17:18). Point from attack (17:19). ANOTHER ACE (17:20). Counter attack point (17:21). Toniutti was there to help Bociek – he blocked the rival (17:22). AMAZING – NEW ACE by Bociek (17:23). COULD YOU BELIEVE IT – FIFTH ACE OF BOCIEK (17:24)…
Afterwards, Zaksa won tie-break and scored a win at the season opening. We have to say, Bociek is real hero. Well done, mate!
