Zenit
Belogorie are definitely improving their form! They scored a straight sets home win against Lokomotiv Novosibirsk and finally jumped at the top part of the standings! Roman Danilov was in excellent shape today, scoring 15 points for the hosts, Dmitriy Muserskiy added 13, while Marko Ivović made 11 points.
On the other side, only Denis Zemchenok had double figures in the away team – 12 points. Lokomotiv Novosibirsk have therefore lost the second big derby in a row. In the previous round they lost against Zenit Kazan, while this time they got defeated by Belogorie… They did not take a single set in those two games!
At the same time Zenit have reclaimed the top spot on the standings after beating Fakel in Kazan! It was the match of the round, as Fakel was the leader and the only team with the maximum score so far. The visitors even made a great opening of the match, by taking the first set, but the reaction of Zenit was fierce. The reigning champions dominated the following three sets and collected a valuable win.
