It is well-known fact that last season’s CEV Women’s Volleyball Cup winners Dinamo Krasnodar have major financial problems that escalated by not paying salaries to their players for the last seven months. But, it seems that men’s section of the club also lacks money. Men’s Dinamo Krasnodar management also did not pay salaries to its players for the last few months, “R-Sport” reported.
“We gained a lot of experience in the match with Dinamo Moscow. We realized that we could beat them. But, the main thing is that we get support by the leadership of Krasnodar Region. We’re not sure if we will continue to exist or not. If we do, in what format? We don’t know whether club will survive or not. The team has potential. Currently, we are fighting, but which way further events will develop, I don’t know,” Women’s Dinamo Krasnodar coach Konstantin Ushakov said after 2017 CEV Champions League match against the namesakes from the Russian capital city.
Dinamo Krasnodar lost to Dinamo Moscow 3-2 in a Pool B match of the third round of the Champions League but with 2-1 score, they still have a chance to qualify to the Playoffs 12. Dinamo Krasnodar are well-placed in the national league, too. They are fourth with 10-4. Earlier, it was reported that Dinamo Krasnodar players might boycott this match because of the seven-month salary arrears to them, coaching staff and personnel. Still, it did not happen…
“Naturally, in such a financial situation, it’s very difficult to motivate the team. I’m not giving up, but the people who are close to me are completely devastated being seven months without a salary… It’s a very long time, catastrophically heavy situation. At the moment, there is no news from the leadership of the Region,” Ushakov added.
Dinamo Krasnodar players asked the secretary of the Russian Security Council and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Russian Volleyball Federation, Nikolay Patrushev, for help…
