RIO 2016 W: USA complete sweep against Japan and progress to semis

The USA are the second semifinalists at the Rio women's volleyball tournament.

It was just as everyone expected – A one-sided game and a demonstration of power by the reigning Olympic vice-champions. USA ran over Japan in the quarterfinals and advanced among the best 4 teams at the tournament.

The top scorers in the winning team were Jordan Larson and Kimberly Hill who collected 14 points each. On the other side, Miyu Nagaoka and Yuki Ishii made 13 points each for Japan.

USA will play in the semifinals against Russia or Serbia. Recall that Netherlands have already advanced to semis.
