China Continues Asian Games Dominance in Women’s Beach Volleyball

Top seeds Xue Chen and Xia Xinyi clinched the gold medal at the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 Women’s Beach Volleyball Competition, ensuring China’s continued supremacy in the event for the sixth consecutive time. The duo delivered an impressive performance, defeating Sayaka Mizoe and Miki Ishii of Japan with a 2-0 set (21-11, 21-13) at the Xiangshan Beach Volleyball Center.

China’s dominance was further highlighted in the bronze medal match. The pair, Wang Fang and Dong Jie, faced stiff competition against former Asian champions Taravadee Naraphornrapat and Worapeerachaya Kongphopsarutawadee from Thailand. However, they managed to fend off challenges and emerged victorious with a score of 2-0 (21-15, 21-19).
