The stage is set for the grand final of the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Ostrava Elite16 in Czechia. The men’s final will feature the Netherlands’ Stefan Boermans and Yorick de Groot facing off against Sweden’s David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig.
Earlier today, Boermans and de Groot triumphed over USA’s Andy Benesh and Miles Partain with a score of 2-0 (21-18, 23-21). Meanwhile, Åhman and Hellvig bested Norway’s Anders Mol and Christian Sørum with an identical score of 2-0 (23-21, 21-18).
In the women’s competition, reigning world champions Kelly Cheng and Sara Hughes from the USA will compete against Canada’s Melissa Humana-Paredes and Brandie Wilkerson. Cheng and Hughes advanced to the final by defeating Brazil’s Eduarda ‘Duda’ Lisboa and Ana Patrícia Ramos 2-0 (21-19, 21-18), while Humana-Paredes and Wilkerson secured their spot by beating Latvia’s Tina Graudina and Anastasija Samoilova 2-0 (21-18, 21-18).
