Olympic champions Anders Mol and Christian Sørum returned to the top of the podium at the Vienna Elite16 Beach Pro Tour. They secured the gold with a 2-0 (25-23, 21-12) victory over Polish duo Michal Bryl and Bartosz Łosiak, marking a strong comeback just before the Paris Games.
In the women’s tournament, Germans Svenja Müller and Cinja Tillmann clinched their first title of the season. They defeated Swiss Olympic medalists Joana Mäder and Anouk Vergé-Dépré 2-0 (21-14, 21-18) in the gold medal match after a commanding performance in the semifinals against Brazilians Ágatha Bednarczuk and Rebecca Cavalcanti.
Americans Terese Cannon and Megan Kraft continued their strong form, finishing third by defeating Ágatha and Rebecca 2-0 (21-16, 22-20), adding to their recent silver from Gstaad.
Chileans Marco and Esteban Grimalt also secured a podium finish, claiming bronze in men’s competition with a 2-0 (21-18, 21-16) victory over Germans Nils Ehlers and Clemens Wickler.
