In a thrilling turnaround at the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Elite16 in Rio de Janeiro, Carol Solberg and Barbara Seixas of Brazil fought back from an early stumble to claim gold. After dropping their first two matches, the dynamic duo stormed through five straight victories, securing their spot atop the podium with a commanding 2-0 win over the American pair Terese Cannon and Megan Kraft in the final.
Cannon and Kraft, undefeated until the final, took home silver—marking their third Elite16 medal in a row. Meanwhile, fellow Brazilians Thamela Coradello and Victoria Lopes clinched bronze with a straight-set victory over Germany’s Sandra Ittlinger and Kim Van de Velde, adding another medal to their growing collection.
