The WorldofVolley have made an exclusive interview with Lee after crucial match with Serbia in Belgrade.
Congratulate, you have passed to the Final Four, what do you expect now?
“Come on! Our intention is to continue straight forward. We have young team who are very successful right now and we want to continue winning” – said Lee.
These two last matches were difficult?
“The second game against Serbia was difficult for sure. In the first one, we played terrible; service, reception was just out of the standard and in the second we played one of our best games and in the moment it was fantastic.”
After Florence, the next station is World Championship in Poland?
“Probably it will be the same team. Our goal is obviously to take medals.”
Last season you played in China, how was it?
“China is awesome. The fact is that we had a great team, great foreigners; we had one of the best seasons in the club history, 20:0 in wins. We went to the finals and we lost.”
What was the problem?
“We just didn’t play well. We did not perform at the time we should. But experience outside of the volleyball was very nice too. China is completely foreign to me and a very beautiful place, I was able to travel a lot, to see lot of beautiful things, to meet good people, and I really love it.”
“Yes, I will return to Russia, Novosibirsk. I have just signed a contract and that is news for you (smile).”
