WCH M: Dutchman to referee opening match at WCH

The Dutch referee Frans Lodérus has been chosen to referee the opening match of the FIVB World Championship for men in Poland, reports Dutch website volleybalkrant.nl. The match will be played in the national stadium of Warsaw.

Lodérus has some experience to referee in open air stadium, as he was the second official at the World League match between Italy and Poland in June which was played outdoor in Rome.

This year will be Lodérus last year as an official for the FIVB. He he reached the international age limit, as he turned 55 earlier this year. The World Championship in Poland will be his 4th in his career. He has been a referee for the FIVB since 1997.
