Defending three-time champions China defeated Thailand in hard-fought five-set thriller 25-21 23-25 18-25 25-21 15-13 to secure a finals.
Zhang Changning led China with 16 points,while Li Jing added with 11. Ajcharaporn Kongyot scored a match-high 26 points for Thailand including 24 kills from 61 attempts, with Wilavan Apinyapong assisting with 14 kills and Thatdao Nuekjang with 5 points from solid blocks.
Kazakhstan stormed back from the first-set down to beat Japan 3-1 (19-25 25-11 25-21 25-16).
Yekaterinna Zhdanova scored a team-high 14 points including 10 kills from 21 attempts, while Arisa Inoue led Japan with 13 points, 12 of them through her deadly spikes.
