African Men’s Volleyball Championship Kicks Off in Cairo with 15 Nations Vying for Glory

The prestigious Men African Nations Volleyball Championship is set to begin today, September 3, 2023, in Cairo, Egypt. The championship, organized by the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB), is the official competition for senior men’s national volleyball teams across the continent. The tournament will culminate in a grand finale on September 14, 2023.

Group Stages and Contenders

Teams have been divided into four pools for the first phase of the championship, competing to secure the best positions before the knockout stages.

  • Pool A: Egypt, Burundi, Algeria
  • Pool B: Tunisia, Mali, Tanzania, Chad
  • Pool C: Cameroon, Kenya, Ghana, Libya
