Japan rebounded from an opening loss to Germany with a commanding 3-1 victory over Argentina. The win, highlighted by Yuji Nishida’s 21-point performance, places Japan second in Pool C with a strong chance of advancing to the quarterfinals, depending on their match against the United States on Friday.

Japanese star Yuji Nishida led the charge with 21 points, supported by solid performances from Ran Takahashi, Taishi Onodera, and captain Yuki Ishikawa. Argentina’s Facundo Conte and Bruno Lima were standout performers but couldn’t prevent their team from needing a win against Germany to stay in contention.

Meanwhile, Poland, the top-ranked team, clinched their second win by edging out Brazil 3-2 in a dramatic tie-breaker. Wilfredo Leon led Poland with 26 points, ensuring their undefeated status in Pool B. Brazil’s Adriano Xavier and Ricardo Lucarelli both scored 18 points, but it wasn’t enough to secure the win.
