‘The Panthers’ (Las Panteras) had a high-flying performance against young Chilean team in front of the home crowd in “Estremador” gymnasium and won the game much simpler than Colombia who had to prevail Venezuela in the tie-break.

The team coached by Guillermo Orduna stood well in blocking and was unbeatable in attack, arguments which were more than enough to control the match from start to finish and celebrate the long-awaited debut with the fans.

The top scorers in Argentina were the captain Yamila ‘Yaz’ Nizetich and Leticia Boscacci, both with 15 points. In Chile, no one scored more than five points.

The winner of the tournament will earn a ticket to the 2016 Olympics in Rio.
