Sarmayeh vs. Saipa
The sponsor of Zahedan was not ready to pay all expenses on time so, the team filed request to League’s organization to play the match against Urmia on December 30, 2015, which Urmia won in straight sets.
Even without four important players, the captain Mahdavi, Mousavi, Mobasheri and Mahmoudi and assistant coach Yaghoubi who were under suspension of the Disciplinary Committee of Iran’s VF, Sarmayeh achieved straight-set win 3-0 (26-24, 25-22, 25-20) against Saipa Alborz VC.
Mohammadreza Soleimani helped Sarmayeh jumping to the first place in the table with 17 points. Javad Hosseini Nejad scored 19 for Saipa.
Paykan Tehran probably said goodbye to the position one and two in the standings before the playoffs after they were beaten by Mizan Khorasan VC as hosts 3-2 (25-14, 21-25, 25-19, 23-25, 15-11).
It was a tough match for both teams, especially for Paykan since their three key players Ghaemi, Sal Afzoon and Italian Vermiglio couldn’t play due to suspension for last week’s conflict against Sarmayeh.
The 23 points from Javad Manavi Nejad weren’t enough for Paykan. Montenegrin Milan Rašić stood out in Khorasan with 11 points.
