UPCN won the game by 3-1 and took the lead in the series, however the Game 1 was marked by shocking scenes which occurred after the last point.
As you can see in the following video, everything started with inappropriate celebration of one UPCN player, who made Bolivar side very angry. Especially Guillermo Garcia, who was ready get into a fight with rival’s players!
The volleyball court has turned into a ring. While Garcia was unable to calm down, on the other side of the net one member of the UPCN coaching staff was also very nervous, so he verbally attacked Bolivar head coach Carlos Weber. Luckily, other members of the UPCN crew stopped him of making a more serious incident.
Still it was not over. Then Garcia and that angry member of UPCN coaching staff had their private clash, but the good thing was that there were far more people with cool heads in both squads who were able to prevent a fight.
We will see what will be the decision of the Argentine Volleyball Federation.
