ARG W: The Argentine Seniors’ finished fifth after defeating Venezuela 3-0

Argentina overcame Venezuela celebrating a new victory and their final fifth standing among the best continental teams. Uruguay won the seventh place over Paraguay, 3-2. Brazil was the champion over Peru while Colombia won the third place over Chile to win their ticket for the World Championship.

This was the third consecutive victory of the girls, all in straigh sets showing their recovery after losing the first two matches v Colombia and Brazil that left them without chances of fighting a place at the 2013 Czech Republic.

The first two sets v Venezuela were a fight point by point. Venezuela got a wide lead on the second set but then Argentina found its momentum recovered to win that set and the third one by a great difference.

On the near future four of these light blue – white girls will be part of the Youth’s Girls South American Championship, to be held also in Peru, looking forward to a new World Championship.

Uruguay won the seventh place over Paraguay, 3-2. Brazil was the champion over Peru while Colombia won the third place over Chile to win their ticket for the World Championship.
