Iran's men's volleyball team won a gold medal at the Asian Championships in Tehran, Iran.

Despite losing the game in the preliminary phase against the same opponent, Iran showed superiority in the final and beat Australia 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-21).

After the 2011 and 2013, it’s the third Asian Championship title for the Iran.

Bronze goes to Japan while Chinese Taipei finished in 5th place.

Iran, Australia, Korea, Chinese Taipei, China, Pakistan, India and Qatar qualified for the Olympic qualifying tournament in January 2020.

Iran – Australia 3-0 (25-14, 25-17, 25-21)

Match for 3rd place

Korea – Japan 1-3 (23-25, 17-25, 25-23, 22-25)

Match for 5th place

Chinese Taipei – China 3-1 (25-16, 23-25, 25-20, 25-16)

MVP: Edgar (AUS)

Best opposite: Ghafour (IRI)

Best outside hitters: Ishikawa (JPN), Walker (AUS)

Best middle blockers: Shin Yung-Suk (KOR), Mousavi (IRI)

Best setter: Marouf (IRI)

Best libero: Yamamoto (JPN)
