Thailand pulled off a stunning 3-1 comeback win against hosts Vietnam at the Vinh Phuc Gymnasium, despite a roaring crowd backing the latter. The victory marked Thailand’s unblemished record in the SEA V. League since its 2019 inception.

The match was a spectacle of skill, with Thailand losing the first set 22-25 but rebounding to claim the next three sets 25-20, 28-26, and 25-17. Notably, star spikers Chatchu-On Moksri and Ajcharaporn Kongyot were pivotal in Thailand’s win, scoring 24 and 20 points respectively.

Vietnam, on the other hand, showcased an initial prowess that led them to dominate the beginning, but they couldn’t maintain the momentum throughout the match. Standout players included Tran Tu Linh, who contributed 19 points.

In other match highlights, Indonesia outperformed the Philippines with a clean 3-0 victory.

After this leg of the SEA V. League, Thailand leads with 9 points, followed by Vietnam (6 points), Indonesia (3 points), and the Philippines at the bottom. The action will continue in Thailand for the SEA V. League Second Leg from August 11 to 13.
