A.S Volley Lube, through their health manager Mariano Avio, has shared the latest health update on their red and white middle blocker, Simone Anzani, following his withdrawal from the Italian national team in Val di Fiemme. Anzani is currently undergoing further medical tests due to a potential cardiac issue.
Mariano Avio stated, “We must await the results of all the prescribed tests, including genetic evaluations, before having a comprehensive understanding. The results are expected by the end of August. We have faith that Simone, being the fighter he is, will overcome this challenge. It’s indeed a tough time for him, especially with the European Championships approaching. However, we’re confident he will bounce back and be an essential part of the national team in the upcoming Olympics and play a crucial role for Lube in the 2023/24 season.”
