Iran will initiate their campaign on Sunday, facing off against Hong Kong. With an eye on the prize, Iran is eager to clinch the title for a remarkable fifth time. On the other hand, Japan, being the most decorated team with nine titles to their name, stands as the primary favorite this year. Both South Korea and Iran hold the distinction of having won the trophy on four occasions. Japan will play their 1st game today against Thailand.
In the latest FIVB rankings, Japan boasts the prestigious title of the highest-ranked Asian team, clinching the fifth spot. Meanwhile, Iran closely follows, securing the tenth position.
